Design Vision + real estate strategy
Helping buyers and sellers navigate the East Bay housing market with strategy, renovation insight, and neighborhood expertise.
I’ve built my career in two worlds most people don’t straddle: interior design and real estate. One taught me how to transform spaces, and the other taught me how to navigate one of the most competitive housing markets in the Bay Area with clarity and strategy.
The magic happens where design and real estate strategy meet.
I help people see possibilities. Sometimes in a house, sometimes in their budget, sometimes in a neighborhood they hadn’t considered. And then I help them get there. Thoughtfully. Creatively. With honesty and a whole lot of tenacity.
That balance of design vision and real estate strategy is what sets me apart, and it’s why my clients trust me with one of the biggest decisions of their lives.
If you’re looking for someone who will see the potential, set the vision, tell you the truth, and guide you all the way through, I’d love to work with you.
I work at the intersection of great design and high-stakes Bay Area real estate, where good judgment, speed, and vision matter as much as square footage.
Before real estate, I spent years renovating homes, flipping properties, and designing for HGTV. That background didn’t just shape my aesthetic, it shaped how I see homes. I walk into a space and immediately understand what’s possible, what’s worth investing in, and what’s not.
My work is fast, hands-on, and deeply collaborative. I love the process of walking through potential homes, explaining the real numbers, strategizing offers, redesigning a kitchen on the fly, or managing an entire sale for someone living across the country. I’m equal parts design brain and contract strategist, and I take care lots of pride that feat.
My clients describe me as insightful, relentless, honest, patient, and fun to be around during one of the most stressful moments of their lives. They’ve called me steady when the market is chaotic, creative when the options seem bleak, tenacious when an offer gets complicated, and the reason their kid is now dancing in front of a fireplace they didn’t think they could ever afford.

Buying a House in Berkeley and Oakland
Buying a house in the East Bay is very different from buying in most other parts of the country. The East Bay real estate market is competitive, neighborhood-specific, and strategy matters just as much as budget. Success here isn’t just about finding a house you like — it’s about understanding pricing strategy, disclosures, micro-markets, and how to compete in multiple offer situations.
The East Bay Real Estate Market
The Berkeley and Oakland housing markets are both competitive, especially for well-located and well-prepared homes. Many homes receive multiple offers, which means buyers need to be prepared and ready to move quickly when the right house comes along. Timing the market is much less important than understanding how the market works and having a strong strategy when you find the right home.
Disclosures & Inspections Pricing, and Offer Strategy
In the East Bay, most homes are listed with disclosure packages and inspections completed before offers are written. Buyers typically review inspections and disclosures before making an offer and may write offers with fewer contingencies.
Pricing & Offer Strategy
List price is often marketing tool, not the expected sale price. Most homes are priced low to attract multiple offers, while others are priced closer to market value. Understanding pricing strategy and writing a strong offer is one of the most important parts of buying in the Berkeley or Oakland housing market.
Micro Markets and Neighborhood Differences
The East Bay real estate market is really a collection of micro-markets. North Berkeley is different from Elmwood, Rockridge is different from Montclair, and each neighborhood and price range behaves differently. Understanding these differences helps buyers make better decisions and find the right value for their budget.
Selling a House in Berkeley and the East Bay
Selling a house in Berkeley, Oakland, Albany, Kensington, or the greater East Bay is not just about putting a home on the market — it’s about positioning the property so it stands out in a competitive and very neighborhood-specific market. Preparation, pricing strategy, and presentation are usually the difference between a house that sits and a house that gets multiple offers.
Preparing Your Home for Sale
Preparing a house for sale in the East Bay often includes paint, lighting, flooring, landscaping, staging, and sometimes strategic kitchen or bathroom updates. The goal is not to spend the most money — the goal is to make smart design decisions that make your home the most attractive one on the market at that price point. Good design and thoughtful updates can significantly increase buyer interest and sale price.
Renovate Before Selling
Many sellers ask whether they should renovate before selling. In the Berkeley, Oakland, and Piedmont real estate markets, strategic updates can often make a big difference in how a home shows and how buyers respond. Renovating before selling doesn’t always mean a full remodel — often small, intentional updates and staging create the biggest return.
Pricing Strategy and Marketing
Pricing strategy is one of the most important decisions when selling a house in the East Bay real estate market. List price is often a strategy designed to attract interest and competition, not always the final expected sale price. The right pricing and marketing strategy depends on the neighborhood, condition of the home, recent sales, and buyer demand.
Marketing typically includes professional photography, staging, video, social media marketing, broker tours, open houses, and targeted outreach to buyers and agents. Impeccable presentation and exposure are very important in the Berkeley housing market and Oakland housing market.
